The Village of Taos Ski Valley is generally about 15 degrees cooler than Taos, with an average July high of 76°F. Overall, the area enjoys 290 sunny days a year and receives about 20.5 inches of annual rainfall.

Summer

Expect cool summer days and crisp nights at Northside. Daytime highs in summer typically range from the low to upper 60’s, with nighttime temperatures often in the 40’s. Afternoon thunderstorms are common in July and August, so it's best to start hikes and rides early. Storms can develop quickly, bringing sudden temperature drops, rain, or even snow at any time.
